At Whitsitt, our vision is to promote students who excel in academics, leadership and collaboration. As an environmental sciences STEAM magnet elementary school, we focus on developing the next generation of leaders who will save the planet.
Located in Nashville's Woodbine neighborhood, Whitsitt Elementary is a microcosm of our city: a vibrant community with a diverse population of students from all walks of life. We are a few minutes from downtown and two miles from Nashville Soccer Club's new stadium.
Our faculty and staff work collaboratively with parents and community partners to build the academic, social and emotional needs of all students. We believe that all students can learn at high levels when given the tools to fit their individual needs. Our faculty provides tailored instruction in reading and math to meet the needs of each student. Whitsitt also offers the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program to support and challenge gifted and talented learners.
